The Elementary School Teacher will seek to accomplish the school district’s philosophy of education through instruction and example, and provide lessons that meet students’ requirements, interests and capabilities. You will take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities, and keep accurate records in compliance with relevant laws, policies and regulations. You will collaborate with administration to create and implement rules and policies regulating student conduct.

2.2. Responsibilities:
 Reports to the principal
 Design and follow a complete teaching plan
 Teach Foundational Academic Skills like alphabet and numeracy along with
personal, social and emotional skills
 Organize learning material and resources
 Assess students’ performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
 Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
 Prepare, administer, and grade tests, listen to oral presentations, and maintain classroom discipline.
 Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media,structured games, art, outdoor activities etc.) to motivate and stimulate children’sabilities
 Utilize various curriculum resources.
 Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
 Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
 Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
 Tutor students on an individual basis.
 Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
 Prepare and distribute required reports.
 Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
 Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
 Cooperate with administration staff
